As facilitators are building their skills and their practice, they have many potential methodologies to consider adding to their toolbox. Why should LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® be one of those facilitation methods?

Complete In-depth Solutions

LSP is a facilitated thinking, communication and problem-solving technique for use with organisations, teams and individuals. The method is very adaptable and can be applied to almost any problem-solving situation for groups as small as two or three and much larger groups as well. Each session uses a trained facilitator, creating a safe environment where all are expected to contribute. Participants “lean in” and contribute, rather than simply observe. This involvement builds trust, commitment to outcomes and provides a more complete in-depth solution.

Participants have a strong emotional response toward and ownership of the solution because they each played a key part in creating it. Oh, and possibly most importantly, it’s fun!

Integration With Other Techniques

The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method can be used on its own or integrated into your sessions using other facilitator tools you and your clients are already using. LSP has been used successfully by trained facilitators along with methods such as the Business Model Canvas (BMC), Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Technology of Participation, and many, many more! At each stage, the options presented can be explored more fully using the LSP method.

LSP also can be used to empower classic business techniques such as coaching and conflict resolution. The safe open environment of an LSP facilitation adds a level of effectiveness to these techniques.

A Community of Support

Facilitators trained by the Association of Master Trainers in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method join a community of thousands professional facilitators worldwide.

The Association provides on-going support in a number of ways. You may join the online Directory LSPDirectory to find and collaborate with other facilitators. You may also join global and regional groups in on-line communities and take part in face to face or zoom meetings, in order to exchange ideas or develop research. Post foundation training is also available to help build your skills. The latest developments are available through newsletters and our mailing list.

And again, using LSP is a lot of fun! Both for the participants and the facilitator.
